Introduction to a music video: Inspiration

I really enjoyed watching this music video, and it has made me want to create something similar for my own project. The mise-en-scene is very controlled, filmed in one single room but with quick, slick edits to change the costume and colour schemes. The use of changing the actress/main singer was good because it kept the audience interested. The use of having split screens and split action shots are very impressive and are something I wish to use in my music video. The use of choreography is also a good way to keep the audience entertained and interested. Although their is no narrative, this video would have got a high grade, simply because it is an exquisite piece of media. This product is very professional looking, and something I can imagine being on the television, or in the charts. The use of colouring is very good as it shows the editors creativity and individuality which is important in making a video.

This video was not viewed from CoombeMedia but from another school, in 2009.
