Apply the concept of Voyeurism & Intertextuality to a MV of your choice.

Voyeurism and Intertextuaity:
Christina Aguilera- Candyman
In this music video, Christina is our main star. She is a very beautiful woman, with a lovely figure, and that is what the male audience are looking at. The female audience, however, are looking at her wardrobe, her hair, her makeup and any gossip they can pick up. The target audience is varied, but is mainly aimed at teenagers, although the fifties/sixties theme appeals to a wider variety of age. The male gaze are looking at the star's sex appeal, and her revealing clothes.

The older audience will be thrilled with the theme, and flattered as it was their era. The use of sailors adds to the appeal for the female audience, making them attracted and interested. The theme promotes the star in all era's and decades. The clothing attracts a varied audience and keeps them involved with the narrative and party scene.
